What is your background?
I graduated from LSU with a degree in Political Science and History, and taught English in South Korea.
ルイジアナ州立大学、史政治学科を卒業したあと、韓国で英語講師をしていました。

What do you enjoy the most about teaching?
I enjoy seeing the students progress the most.
生徒の能力が伸びているのを見る事が一番楽しいです。

What is your goal/mission?
My goal is to teach students English in a fun environment. I want students to leave class wanting to come back and learn.
目標は、たのしい雰囲気の中で英語を教える事です。そして生徒がレッスンを終えて帰る時に、また来たいと思ってもらいたいのです。

What do you do in your free time?
I hike, swim, and play video games in my free time. I can’t wait to hike every mountain in Tokushima.
ハイキング、スイミング、ビデオゲームをして過ごします。徳島のあちこちの山をはキングする事が楽しみです。

What do you like/think about Tokushima/Japan?
I absolutely love Tokushima and Japan. Japan is a wonderful country where people are always willing to help, and Tokushima has the best people in all of Japan.
徳島と日本がとっても好きです。いつも人を助けようとする素晴らしい国です。その中でも徳島には最高の人々がいます。

Where would you like to go if you had a long holiday?
I would like to go to Okinawa when I have a long holiday.
長い休暇があれば、沖縄に行きたいです。

Who is your idol?
My idol is Iris Apfel. She is a fashion icon that believes you can't stop learning. She also persists that “to be young is to think young.”

What was your childhood dream?
My childhood dream was to be an Olympic swimmer.
こどもの頃は、水泳でオリンピックにでる事でした。

There are a lot of English schools in Japan. Why did you decide to work at UI?
I chose UI because of the staff. The staff are wonderful people that truly care about every student.
私がUIを選んだ理由は、スタッフが素晴らしいからです。彼らは、心から生徒みんなの事を考えています。

Is there anything people would be surprised to know about you?
I don’t really know. However, I did surprise Ai sensei at school because I was shorter than her.
さて、なんでしょう。ただ、教室で愛先生が、わたしの方が背が低い事に驚いていました。

Who is your favorite super hero?
My favorite super hero is Captain Marvel because she is the strongest super hero ever. No one can defeat her. Though a close second is Batman. He is willing to be the bad guy just to help his city.
わたしの一番好きなスーパーヒーローはキャプテン・マーベルです。彼女はこれまでで最強のヒーローだからです。誰も彼女を負かすことはできません。ほぼ同じくらい好きなのはバットマンです。彼は、街を救うためだけに進んで悪者になっているからです。

Cats or Dogs?
I love both. I have a cat, Eloise, and a dog, Fitz, back home in America.

Natto or Goya?
Natto because I haven’t tried Goya yet. I hear it is very bitter. I don’t know if I want to try it.
納豆です。なぜなら、ゴーヤはまだ食べたことがないのですが、苦いものだと聞いているので、試してみたいかどうか・・・。
